Videoask builder views

There are currently two different builder views you can use when creating and editing your videoasks.

āš ļø Builder view update: We recommend using our newer, interactive map view builder which offers all functionalities and where you can be sure to find all the latest features.Ā

For the moment, you can continue using our older, linear view builder, if you prefer.

However, the linear view builder is no longer kept up to date with newly-released features and will beĀ removed at some point in the near(ish) future. This is because we've decided to concentrate our energy on making the map view builder even better. šŸ’Ŗ

We hope this won't be a disruptive change for you, but if you've already tried our map view builder and have feedback to share, we'd love to hear it. Please let us know here.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the two builder views:

Map View

The map view builder displays a visual representation of any Conditional Logic you have set up, so it can be helpful to see the flow of your videoask as you're building it. It also allows more flexibility in creating new Logic by interacting with the builder nodes to create new steps.

Linear View

The linear builder view presents your videoask in a straight line, regardless of what logic you have set up. Note that you can still use conditional logic with this view, it will just be displayed in the dropdowns below each step, as opposed to in the view itself.Ā

The images above and below are the same videoask, in map view and linear view, respectively:Ā

Change the order of the steps in your videoask

You can use either the map or linear view to change the order of the steps in your videoask. The linear view allows you to click and drag steps to change their order and then use the dropdowns below each step to adjust the logic.

To reorder your steps using the map view, follow the steps below:

From your VideoAsk account, select a videoask and click Build to open the videoask builder.
