Send your video responses to Google Drive with Make (formerly Integromat)

Automatically send your video responses from VideoAsk to Google Drive using Make (formerly Integromat) and make life a little simpler.

We recommend setting up this workflow before sharing your videoask with your respondents. If you set up this automation after receiving responses, previously received responses won’t be sent across to Google Drive.

It’s only possible to send one video per videoask response with this automation. You can use this flow with a multi step videoask but it’ll only send one video from one step in your videoask. Instructions in this article cover sending video responses from an Open-ended answer type and not sending responses from other answer types like multiple choice or file upload.

💡 Tip: If you're looking to download video responses that you've already received, you can easily download the .mp4 files of any of your video responses from within your videoask inbox.

To get started, here’s what you’ll need:

  • A VideoAsk account
  • A Google Drive account
  • A Make account

Note: Free plans are available for all these tools.

Looking to use Zapier instead? Check out our article on how to send your video responses to Google Drive or Dropbox with Zapier.

⚠️ Important: Make sure the videoask you’d like to use in this workflow is in your organization. If the videoask lives in an organization you’ve joined, ask the organization's owner to move the videoask to your organization.

Now head over to your videoask and answer it like you’re a respondent. If you have conditional logic set up, make sure to choose the flow where you can submit a video response.

Note: We haven’t finished setting up this flow yet so it won’t yet work. We just need to send some test data to Make before continuing. 😊

You should see something like this appear in the Make log:
